Wednesday, July 27, 2011 The Morning (& evening) Visitor This morning Baldr alerted me to the presence of this handsome doe coming across the driveway. She stood listening to Baldr barking out the window just long enough for me to grab a camera and get a quick, fuzzy shot through the screen. She was back this evening at supper time. The attraction? The little green apples that have fallen from the trees to the grass.

Tuesday, July 26, 2011 New Roof When we first looked at this house, right about this time last year actually, it was obvious that the 35 year-old roof needed replacing soon. Today the JM Construction roofing crew arrived and did the job. After stripping the old shingles, they added a ridge vent, ice shield and new shingles. This will allow me to sleep much better, especially when it's raining!
