Friday, April 15, 2011 Krueger Beer With the snow pretty much gone, it's time to explore anew. While rooting around in an overgrown cellar hole, I came across this old, rusty Krueger beer can. Not sure how old this is, but I don't think Krueger beer has been produced for some time. It's hard to believe that we have passed the half-way mark of the first year. Now that spring is finally here, I'd like time to slow down a little!
Thursday, April 14, 2011 Spring Peepers Spring has truly arrived when the Spring Peepers (Pseudacris crucifer) start chirping. My video making skills leave much to be desired, but I couldn't resist recording the sound of these tiny frogs with big voices during their evening serenade. Please be sure your volume is turned up.
Wednesday, April 13, 2011 Springtime Revelations Ah! I wondered where that wheelbarrow had disappeared to. Hiding underneath all that snow. Rather a raw and wet day today, but the snow is shrinking fast. The run-in shed, quickly built last November, performed exceptionally well through the hard winter. Dry, sturdy, and the blocks on the high end didn't heave. Perhaps I'll get some real footings in this year...or maybe I'll just stick with the blocks!
