Sunday, August 28, 2011 (3rd post) Tea With Irene 4:00 PM - The old road at the foot of the driveway has turned into a small river, much to Baldr's delight. Abbot Brook (not pictured) has filled the wetland beyond capacity and is running very strong. Baldr displayed a puppy's exuberance while at the swift water, hence the longline as a precautionary measure.
Sunday, August 28, 2011 (2nd post) Lunch With Irene 12:30 PM - A small, weakened poplar tree in the corner of the yard has snapped, but so far, aside from a few power bumps, the main story here is rain, rain, rain.
Sunday, August 28, 2011 (1st post) Breakfast With Irene 7:44 AM - Throughout the night the rain fell with varying intensity and now continues into morning. We are starting to see the wind picking up and swaying the treetops. Weatherman is calling for 30-50 MPH gusts this afternoon, not hurricane force, but plently of rain to go with it. Caspian is happy to remain in his stall and receive visitors.
