Tuesday, December 28, 2010 1 degree F (-17c) this morning with a waning crescent moon. The wind, which conveniently removed all the snow from the roof, has finally settled down.
Monday, December 27, 2010 Slow Ride Looked out the window at 6:30 this morning and it didn't look too bad. It wasn't until I tried to open the kitchen door and failed, that I realized we really were having a blizzard. With all the drifting it's hard to judge amounts, but it looked (and felt) like 16-18 inches. The story now is the wind, blowing with a ferocity I've not experienced in a long time. Our plow guy came at noon to free the driveway, at which point I could finally get out and head for work. This is the scene on the way in.
