Tuesday, August 30, 2011 The Country Mouse I'm not sure if this a deer mouse or some other kind. We found him living inside a cinder block that had to be moved. He fled to the nearby stone wall where I know there are more of his kind. Hmm, might be time to consider getting a barn cat.
Monday, August 28, 2011 The Day After A puddle reflecting today's sunset is all that remains of yesterday's impromptu river at the bottom of the driveway. The driveway did not wash out in the rain and is in good shape, for which I am thankful. Many, many people along the east coast and inland were adversely affected by Irene's destructive power. I wish them all a successful and speedy recovery and pray that they may quickly regain the rhythm of their lives.
