Saturday, December 7, 2013 Another star trails experiment, 108 frames, 30 seconds each, stacked. A 29% waxing crescent moon provided some ambient lighting on the spruce and pine trees.
Wednesday, December 4, 2013 Star trails/time lapse over the barn in this evening's sky. For this image I shot a 30 second exposure every 45 seconds using the D700's built-in interval timer. The resulting 95 images were then stacked to achieve the time lapse sequence/star movement. The road (which is not as close as it appears) is visible due to passing cars captured in approximately 25 of the frames. The lighting in the lower part of the image is from the inside and outside barn lights.
