Tuesday, May 29, 2012 Washed Out A line of severe storms invaded southwestern New Hampshire late this afternoon. Several tornado warnings were issued and rainfall was excessive, causing flooding and road washouts. Power was out all evening and well into the night. Many main roadways are impassable. This scene is from the front door after arriving home in the evening - I made it through just before the main road was closed by flooding.
Monday, May 28, 2012 Memorial Day Eastern Phoebe (Sayornis phoebe) The Phoebes are nesting in the same spot as last year and are waking me up well before the alarm clock with their calling, just like last spring.
