Sunday, February 19, 2012 Three Amigos Baldr had company for his romp in the woods today. Gracie and Sandy joined him and the threesome had quite a rollicking time. Porcupines beware!

Saturday, February 18, 2012 A Prickly Situation The porcupine was waddling along through the trees below us. Baldr saw him first. He sat and watched, then stood up and barked a few times, but did not go after him. Good dog. For Baldr's sake I decided not try for a closer shot.

Thursday, February 16, 2012 Playing Possum The highlight of Baldr's evening yesterday was the discovery of this possum, who sought refuge in the stone wall. A truce was declared, after which Mr Possum consented to a photo to commemorate the occasion. Technically, this is actually an Opossum (Didelphimorphia) North America's only marsupial.
