Sunday, March 22, 2015 Ir was barely 20 degrees F today, the third day of spring, but the sun was strong. Some bare ground is appearing in the area kept plowed for parking and even a bit of mud was present on a narrow strip of the driveway, which no longer resembles a bobsled run.
Saturday, March 21, 2015 Some signs of melting today on the Ashuelot River, on the second day of spring. I heard some red-winged blackbirds trilling in this vicinity this afternoon, so despite the rugged winter they are right on target.
Monday, March 16, 2015 The melt of 2015 is underway. Last week a significant amount of snow vanished and this week the disappearing act continues, albeit slowly.
